In the late 1700s, an English country doctor from Gloucestershire named Edward Jenner noticed that milkmaids who had contracted Cowpox did not fall ill with Smallpox. Through some questionable experimentation, the first Smallpox vaccine was administered in 1796. It's considered one of the first official vaccines ever created. As Smallpox ravaged the US at the turn of the 20th century, Smallpox vaccines were administered and the "Show Your Scar" movement was how individuals proved they were vaccinated. On December 9, 1979, the World Health Organization declared that smallpox has been eradicated. This vaccine led to the development of many, many more vaccines that have protected us from once deadly illnesses.
Now, we have the Covid Vaccines. Instead of "Show Your Scar" we have "Show Your Card". What better way to protect your card than this stylish holder to protect your card. Large enough to hold a laminated Vaccine Card, the lobster clasp allows you to clip it to your bag or lanyard strap if needed.
